    Btw, this seems to work, however binding it to the close button
    (.galleria-lightbox-close) doesn’t.

    $(document).on(‘click’, ‘.galleria-lightbox-box’, function() {
    Galleria.get(0).closeLightbox(); });

    This can be closed. I am just deleting all lightbox items on a
    newly appended close button.

    Davidoff, could you explain what you are doing with a newly
    appended close button?

    I tried your first solution:

    $(document).on(‘click’, ‘.galleria-lightbox-box’, function() {
    Galleria.get(0).closeLightbox(); });

    which closes both windows, but it also causes the lightbox to
    close when trying to view next or previous images while inside the
    lightbox.

    also tried binding to close button, with same result (doesn’t
    work)

    Update: I seem to have found the problem causing this. Tested
    only on a local folder structure for landing page development, so
    YMMV.

    .galleria-lightbox-close and .galleria-lightbox-nextholder share
    the same z-index of 99999. This causes close to hide behind
    nextholder quite frequently. So when you think you hit the close
    button, you simply shift to the next image, causing the illusion
    that 2 lightboxes have been opened.

    Change z-index of ‘close’ to a higher value on line 2202 of
    galleria-1.4.2.js, or about 3/4 down the first line of
    galleria-1.4.2.min.js. I changed it to z-index: 199999; and it
    works fine.

    While your there you may want to double the size of the close
    box and font, since it is pretty tiny by default.

    I found the same solution last week, so I can confirm that this
    works! Thanks for the support.
